Abstract

An overview of the Mesozoa, parasites of marine invertebrates such as squid, octopus, and cuttlefish. Discusses the taxonomic classification, position in the Tree of Life, morphology, life cycle (inlcuding the secondary nematogen), hosts, patterns of infection, and molecular analyses, collection, and staining methods.
