Abstract

This lesson examines the development of herbicide-resistant weeds and research conducted to help predict and prevent this resistance.

Objectives

After reading this lesson you should be able to:

1. Describe the process of establishing research goals and conducting research.
2. Define a population of organisms.
3. Predict how a population will evolve.
4. Develop a management plan to help prevent weed resistance.

The target audience for this lesson is the undergraduate college learner and the general public.
