Abstract
ADPR 323: Copy & Concept is an elective course in the Advertising and Public Relations curriculum at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, designed to immerse students in the foundational principles and practices of advertising copywriting and conceptual development. This portfolio documents the recent redesign of the course, including updated learning outcomes, teaching methods, assignments, and assessment strategies. The redesign emphasizes a balance between creative ideation, effective writing, and strategic thinking, with a focus on real-world application and industry standards. This portfolio includes a rationale for changes, analysis of student learning, reflections on successes and challenges, and plans for future improvements.
