Abstract

En el siguiente artículo se lleva a cabo un estudio iconográfico e iconológico de la decoración pictórica, a modo de relieves y/o pintura mural, de cuatro huacas moches distintas, pero relacionadas entre ellas, situadas en el Valle de Moche y el Valle de Chicama. Para llevar a cabo la investigación, primero se hace una explicación general de la estructura arquitectónica de cada edificio y, después, de cada estancia. A continuación, se hace una descripción y un análisis de las pinturas encontradas en cada una de las huacas, centrándonos en la forma, la estructura, los motivos y los colores de cada una de ellas. De este modo, podemos compararlos y estudiarlos viendo sus similitudes, diferencias y los significados de los distintos relieves pintados de estas cuatro huacas moches.

In the following article, an iconographic and iconological study is carried out of the pictorial decoration, in the form of reliefs or mural paintings, of four different but related Moche huacas, located in the Moche Valley and the Chicama Valley. In order to carry out this investigation, first a general explanation is given of the architectural structure of each building and then of each room. Next, a description and analysis are made of the paintings found in each of the huacas, focusing on the shape, structure, motifs and colors of each of them. In this way, we can compare and study them by seeing the similarities, differences and meanings of the different painted reliefs of these four Moche huacas.
