The mission of the United States Air Force is to ―fly, fight, and win…in air, space and cyberspace‖—as an integral member of the Joint team that ensures our Nation’s freedom and security. Today’s uncertain international security environment requires a balance-driven approach to prevail in today’s operations, and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges by identifying and investing in new capabilities and force structure. This balanced approach postures the Air Force to provide an array of capabilities to Combatant Commanders across the spectrum of conflict—from building partnership capacity to ensuring the readiness of strategic deterrence forces. Our Air Force’s foremost responsibility is to organize, train, and equip Airmen to meet the needs of our National leadership and Combatant Commanders.
