Abstract
This order redesignates the Medical Intelligence and Information Agency as the Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center (AFMIC) which was subordinate to The Surgeon General, US Army. The order states that AFMIC has “sole responsibility within the Department of Defense for the production of required medical scientific and technical intelligence and general medical intelligence, as well as organization and execution of all medical aspects of the DoD Foreign Materiel Exploitation Program.”
