Abstract
Three Nebraska attorneys who hold high office in state government examine the three branches of government found in the typically American political system set out in the Nebraska Constitution. In this first of their three articles, George Turner, clerk of the Supreme Court, traces the history of the state court system and advocates the adoption of a Nebraska Merit Plan for the selection of Supreme Court and district judges.
