The Omaha District is responsible for:
1. Federal civil works activities including administration of the Clean Water Act, Section 404 regulatory program in the upper Missouri River basin.
2. Engineering design and construction for the Army and Air Force in eight Mountain and Upper Midwest states.
3. Hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste cleanup, including restoring the environment for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Defense (DOD) at sites throughout the United States.
